Since we brought in the Hamanaka wool products, we received some queries on the difference between those wool products. We will try to compare these items for your reference.
To briefly introduce about each product:
The Merino wool used is Sweet Pea Dolls Apple Green M014 and we will simply refer to this as Merino wool.
Hamanaka Wool Candy is also Merino wool, but a higher quality with different characteristics for felting.
Hamanaka Aclaine is a unique acrylic fibre, developed by Hamanaka in Japan.
You can see their appearance in the photo below.
Hamanaka Wool Candy looks the smoothest, with a nice sheen, that even slightly reflects the light.

3. HOW QUICKLY DOES IT FELT?
From this test, we found that Hamanaka Aclaine felts the fastest (about 2:20 mins). Merino took the longest time (About 3:10 mins). When you are working on a bigger scale, this time difference will become even larger.

Hamanaka Wool Candy comes from Australian sheep. All our wools come from non-mulesed stocks.
Aclaine is an acrylic fibre uniquely produced by Hamanaka in Japan.
